Why it matters

Because the license is personal, a company’s ability to pull a permit in Independence depends on which license holder works for it. If that person leaves, the company may no longer have a Master on file.

A line with no business name is a licensed person, not a missing record; it cannot be tied to a company from the data.

What this number can’t tell you

  • The business name is what the license holder listed. It is not verified against state business records.
  • Holder names are not stored or published here, so this site cannot show which person holds a given license.
  • The data has no license number.

What to do with it

  • Ask which Master Electrical license holder will be named on the permit for your Independence job.
  • Check that the business named in your quote appears on the Independence page.
